I've shot at this location before and my biggest challenge was the lighting. Not every location will have ideal lighting and having the ability to take good photos even in bad lighting conditions is an uphill battle. However, you can combat bad lighting using the environment, gear or angles.

In my case, i had both an off-camera flash (ad200) and a hotshoe flash. I used the off-camera flash to act as the window light and simulate natural lighting. This helped to hide any hard shadows from the fluorescent light. I then used my hotshoe flash pointed at the ceiling to bounce light off of it. This created softer and more even lighting but you do have to be careful what you bounce the light off of as it can cause a color cast. I find the bounced lighting more appealing than the harshness of direct flash when shooting events like this.
